In Why Your Wedding NEEDS A Magician, I briefly mentioned the symbiotic relationship between wedding photographers & wedding magicians but I did not explain WHY such a relationship exists. Photographers seasoned in their profession have an instinct for seeing the fine details that make up the much larger picture. Photographers have a sharp eye for details, ready to snap a photo. In the same light, magicians are opportunistic and detailed oriented. Where there is a crowd there is an opportunity for a magician and where there is a magician there is an opportunity for a photographer.
When you experience magic, the magic happens on the INSIDE and it gets contagiously transmitted to the OUTSIDE by the smiles & tears of joy. Magic employs 2 main neurotransmitting chemicals – serotonin & dopamine. It is through these molecules that you and I experience magic & happiness. Through the expressions of these emotions, we become photogenic. Wedding photographers know all too well that this kind of expression makes the BEST photos.
Where there is a magician there is a photo opportunity & vice verse. Magic is good medicine.
